This spring wedding at The Cardinal Room brought loads of celebration and happiness. The weather had potential rain in the forecast with wind gusts, but that didn’t get this couple or their wedding party down because there were smiles all around. The Cardinal Room in Lebanon, IN was a perfect backdrop for an Indiana wedding coming in clutch with the prettiest sunset over the golf course and an epic dance floor all night.
Jamie + Will are the sweetest. They met online and realized that Will works at Rolls-Royce with Jamie’s father and brother work. After a few days of talking, they decided to meet at Rush On Main. They were nervous and both ordered salad “which we haven’t done since!” One date led to a second date, and a third date, and well, now they are happily married.
Will + Jamie’s wedding day showed so much of who they are as a couple. To Jamie and Will, love is “a choice to sacrifice our desires for the benefit of others through compassion and connection. …Love feels like missing them when they are gone and caring for them before ourselves.” They have a rich understanding of love and truly care for one another as shown in many of their wedding day photos.
The Murrays are foodies! They love to cook together or go out to a tasty restaurant. These two also enjoy trivia, playing games, and just spending time together. They even went on their dream trip to London, Paris, and Rome for their honeymoon.
Jamie + Will, thank you for letting us take part in your wedding day and document part of your love story through photography.
“We loved working with Ashley and Jonathan. We were very impressed with Ashley’s initial meeting with us. She did so well focusing on what was personal to us. She let us pick who we wanted in photos and where we wanted them, and we are overjoyed with the results!
The wedding day was a blast with Ashley and Jonathan, and you can tell! They captured all parts of the wedding. I truly cannot say “dang, I wish they would have gotten that moment,” because they captured it all. They had a good mix of artistic, fun, and romantic and also made sure every one of the guests were in the photos.
They also helped to make the day flow smoothly by collaborating with the other vendors, and helping, creating, and sticking to the schedule.
We cannot wait to share the photos with everyone. We, Jamie + William, highly recommend the Vallosios!”

Indiana Weddings
The Cardinal Room is such a pretty location for a wedding reception (and also a ceremony!). The golf course is scenic—especially at sunset! Their buildings with white siding and black trim create such a classic look that is captivating. Bridges, gazebos, greenery, and trees create lovely backdrops for any wedding day as well as the peaceful wrap-around porch.
Favorite Wedding Photography Moments:
- the bride’s custom lipstick—a great personalized touch
- perfect little places for wedding party + family photos out of the wind—the church had some pretty spots that worked perfectly on a blustery day
- the wind was an unpaid actor—it created for some laughter and also some beautiful moments
- exchanging letters—their emotions were so genuine + happy (with the letters, the bride received flowers and the groom received a homemade muffin)
- the ceremony—the groom playing piano and his tearful reaction to seeing the bride
- their enthusiastic bridal party—they were full of happiness for the bride + groom even when they were surrounded by crazy wind
- photo dash—these guests got into it and had so much fun with the couple as they raced through the venue
- choreographed dances—the couple’s first dance + the bride’s dance with her father were amazing
- sunset portraits—the sky was showing off over the golf course + we couldn’t get enough
- an epic dance floor—all the guests were dancing and having a great time
Windy Wedding
We love when wedding days go smoothly and Jamie + Will’s day went smoothly! The weather threatened to be nasty, but ended up working out just right. Jonathan and I were ready with clear umbrellas for any rain and had planned indoor and outdoor locations to protect from wind.
The rain held off completely and the wind made for some fun shots for their wedding party and also for their portraits! Thankfully the wind died down later in the day.
These two didn’t do a first look, but instead exchanged love letters to one another. Will send a beautiful bouquet of flowers with his letter to Jamie and Jaime sent over a homemade muffin to Will with her letter. Watching them read these letters, you could see the happiness on their faces and feel their joy.
We had a blast with the Murray’s wedding party. They were a blast to work with and so supportive of the couple which is special. Not only did Jamie + Will have a great wedding party, but their families were also amazing.
The atrium/foyer area at Cornerstone Christian Church was the perfect spot for family portraits. It also worked well for Will + Jamie’s grandparents because they had a place to sit between photos. It was an easy location for everyone to find, protected from the wind, and very well-lit.
Indoor Ceremony
We love documenting weddings outside, but this indoor church ceremony was perfect for Will + Jamie as their faith is very important to them and so is this church. It also was comfortable, cozy, and out of the wind on a blustery day. It even had a few great pockets of brick walls for photos that were out of the wind!
All of the décor was classy with white roses and pretty greenery that allowed the couple to stand out. Will played piano for the start of their ceremony–it was lovely. He then found himself teary-eyed as he watched Jamie joyfully walking down the aisle towards him with her father. It was a beautiful, personalized ceremony sharing who Will and Jamie are as a couple.
Indoor Reception
The start of this reception was so lively! It started off with intros, cake cutting, and champagne. Then it was time to do a photo dash. Will and Jamie raced all around the room getting photos with all of their guests and everyone got into it. 10/10 recommend this for couples. A delicious dinner was followed by very sweet toasts made by people who are dearly loved by J + W.
Will + Jamie’s choreographed first dance was stunning. These two truly know how to dance. The dance skills didn’t stop there. Jamie and her father’s dance was one for the books. These two started off with a beautiful slow dance and then broke out into an epic upbeat, choreographed dance! Will shared a dance with his mom as well and they were full of smiles—it was so sweet.
Sunset portraits are a win for every couple on their wedding day. This was built into Jamie + Will’s wedding day timeline and it was perfect. The wind gusts calmed down and the colorful sunset was breathtaking. This moment allows for 15-30 minutes for the couple to breathe and reflect on their wonderful day. They were grateful for how the day came together and so relaxed with one another.
Then it was back to the party! This was one of the most active dance floors we’ve documented and it was truly a blast. Jamie, Will, and their people love to dance and this was truly a day to celebrate.
