We’ve been so fortunate to document a couple weddings at The Wilds and they’ve been lovely! We love the versatility and beauty that The Wilds Wedding Venue offers for couples—it’s a modern, clean space surrounded by nature with indoor and outdoor options.

Being surrounded by 125 acres of beautiful woods, flower fields, and a pond, The Wilds is full of gorgeous backdrops for all parts of a wedding day from the ceremony to cocktail hour. There’s also a beautiful, modern indoor area for the reception with many windows that bring in natural light.  

Weddings at The Wilds Wedding Venue

Sami + Cole had a gorgeous day for their Sunday wedding in Bloomington, Indiana! Spring was turning to summer with lots of green trees, butterflies, sunshine, gentle breezes, and a sprinkling of wildflowers. It was a day full of family, friends, laughter, happy tears, celebration, and good food! They truly made their day full of their favorite things and their favorite people.

Lauren + Nathan’s June wedding was filled with so much joy and sweetness! You couldn’t help but smile watching the two of them be together. Laughter, dancing, and excitement was all around as the wind danced through the tall grass and loved ones gathered. Their wedding day beautifully shared their love story.

Brown County Wedding

The Wilds Wedding Venue is a venue that combines modern convenience with being surrounded by the beautiful outdoors. is a beautiful spot to get married for those who love the outdoors and also modern convenience.

From the outdoor covered ceremony space, open-air patio, gorgeous wooded area, serene pond, large wildflower fields, and indoor event space, The Wilds has what you need! Their staff is very helpful as well to make sure you have a stress-free experience. We have loved working at this venue multiple times and hope to return in the future!

Our Favorite Photo + Video Locations at The Wilds Wedding Venue:

1. Peaceful pond + open fields (perfect for sunset portraits)
2. Wooded areas + wildflowers (wonderful for couple’s portraits or wedding party portraits)
3. Outdoor ceremony space (a lovely, shaded area with flower fields and woods behind)
4. Reception space (great natural light, open dance floor space, + beautiful for an indoor ceremony)
5. Open-air patio space (beautiful space for a last dance under the twinkle lights or for mingling with guests in the evening under the stars)

Summer Outdoor Wedding

Sami + Cole

Sami + Cole’s day was classic with black, white, and greenery as their color palette. White poppies in Sami’s bouquet mixed with the black bridesmaids’ dresses and the green fields that surrounded them to create a timeless look.

Their outdoor ceremony was a scene out of a fairytale. They had a close friend officiating and right in the middle of the ceremony, a butterfly came and landed on Sami. This brought tears to her eyes and a smile to her face because it landed right next to a butterfly bracelet that was special for her wedding day.

Sami + Cole wanted to share some special treats for their guests, so they had a coffee bar going throughout the cocktail hour and into the reception. Following dinner, there was an ice cream cart!

Sunset portraits for S+C were lovely. We took the golf cart down to the pond and these two ran all over the place and had fun together. It was time for them to just enjoy the moment after a successful, beautiful wedding.

S+C wanted to share a last dance to end their night. The two of them shared a sweet, slow dance together and then afterwards invited the rest of their guests to join in for the final song where they all showed off their dance skills.

Lauren + Nathan

Lauren + Nathan had a magical summer wedding day. Everything was full of life, warm, and green—it matched their energy and joy! They chose to share a first look and following that, L+N exchanged personalized vows–it was sincere and peaceful.

Lauren + Nathan’s ceremony was in the outdoor ceremony space. They had a friend from the camp they met at officiate their beautiful ceremony—he filled it with their love story and many personal elements.

L+N had a few canvases being painted of them throughout the day from a friend. He would take some photos of them, paint on the spot, and put them up as a part of the décor throughout the wedding day. It caught everyone’s attention as they watched him create.

We will always recommend sunset portraits for every couple on their wedding. This was built into L+N’s day and we had the best lighting. Not to mention, this allows for a few peaceful minutes for the couple to be together (even just for a few minutes) and take a deep breath. Who doesn’t enjoy a gorgeous, peaceful sunset moment?

This was a party and the dance floor was full with an epic playlist that MGS Wedding DJs did a great job with! Everyone danced the night away to many Abba songs and had a great time celebrating Lauren + Nathan.

Favorite Moments to Document at The Wilds Wedding Venue:

1. Lauren’s veil magically blowing in the breeze as she stood under the big trees.
2. Sami’s stunning black robe that she got ready in—so classy and unique.
3. Personal vows exchanged by Lauren + Nathan during their first look was a lovely private moment for them to share before the day became busy.
4. Sami + Cole’s smiles as the butterfly from the wildflower field landed on Sami’s arm mid-ceremony.
5. Both couples had live paintings done which were incredible! S+C had Sami’s bouquet painted and L+N had various canvases of the two of them.
6. Sunset portraits for both couples—the lighting at The Wilds is incredible at sunset.
7. Lauren chose to have wooden flowers for her bouquet, and they were so beautiful to capture footage of on the wood tables in the reception space.
8. S+C sharing a last dance in an almost empty venue at the end of the night with the lights down low—very calm + romantic.
9. Watching our couples be surrounded by their friends and family who were a part of their wedding party—they were all up for anything and had lots of fun under the big shade trees at the front of the venue.
10. Both couples embraced summer—both had warm days, but they had areas to go at the venue to cool off and relax during a busy schedule.
